These sweeping floral vistas provide a stunning backdrop for invigorating recreational pursuits, fascinating educational experiences, and special events designed to celebrate the grandeur of the season. A series of themed weekends, known collectively as Celebrate Spring!, feature special activities and events for families and friends to share against the backdrop of these dazzling surroundings.

These seasoned gardeners will give you the nitty gritty of what works and what doesn’t from their experiences, so you won’t be the cause of your garden problems!

Q&A session and a box lunch is included as well as the opportunity to be first at the Annual Plant Fair and Sale, plus you’ll have plant experts to guide you, and provide growing tips.

Eye Spy 20 - Camera Scavenger Hunt

Native Azaleas!

The native azaleas of the southeast have been called the most beautiful of our native flowering shrubs. Here’s your chance to learn all about native azaleas and some of the outstanding cultivars now available. These dazzling beauties are great additions to any landscape. You’ll learn from someone who has had years of hands-on experience growing these plants. Ernest is the second-generation owner of a nursery established in 1957 which has become the largest grower of native azaleas in the country.

Night Eggstravaganza!

Egg Toss, Candy Egg Hunt, Train Ride, Games

Great fun for youth and adults begins with refreshments, games and a visit with Roosevelt Rabbit. Bring your basket & flashlight for three fantastic candy egg hunts beginning at 8:15 PM separated by age: up to 3 yrs, 4-6 yrs, and 7-9 yrs. Meet at the Liberty Bell Pool on Hwy 354; $3 per person. Train ride and fair games have additional fee.
