The little town that hosts the warm springs has changed dramatically since FDR's time. In
fact, Roosevelt probably would not recognize today's Warm Springs Village, which underwent a
major renovation in the 1980s. More than 60 specialty stores offer shoppers everything from
furniture and accesories to fine collectibles, crafts and antiques.
Warm Springs Village also has several historic restaurants. Visitors can stay at the Hotel Warm Springs, built in 1907, where
foreign diplomats, Hollywood celebrities, Secret Service agents and members of the press stayed
during FDR's time.
